About Alison McDougal.
My Story.
Alison McDougal is based between London and Edinburgh (working with clients all over the UK and Europe), originally hailing from Edinburgh herself. With over eight years experience in the fashion styling and personal shopping sectors, Alison has worked with clients of all aspired styles, shapes, sizes, personalities, wardrobe needs and budgets.
Alison McDougal’s background is in Textiles and Fashion Design. Alison took time out to develop an intricate knowledge of traditional knitting, weaving, fabric printing skills as well as garment production and fabric technology in the Scottish Borders, an area renowned for textile production. Alison uses this rich understanding of fabric construction to play with drape, texture, cut and fit, building unique looks to suit any shape.
A co-founder of Try Tuesday, Marks & Spencer's first online styling platform and an original team member at fashion tech start up The Chapar, Alison McDougal is constantly at the forefront of fashion technology on the London scene.
Whether detoxing your wardrobe, outfit building for your virtually or shopping with you in person, Alison’s clients are based all over the UK from Cornwall to Shetland (and some overseas also).
Alison is thrilled to bring Alison McDougal Style to the world; a personal styling platform for the modern man and woman.
My service brings together equal measures of style and tech so the alison (that is me) + tech (the dot. part) + the styling (my area of expertise) = alison.style!
Why all the dots?
I also do have a very, very round face.....
Well, alison dot style is my brand name.....
alison.style is all about simplicity so I wanted to use the basic CMYK colour model for inspiration. It also ties in with colour co-ordination in edits for splitting up sections within Style Files!
